What order are the shows supposed to be in?

For those of you who watched this series on BBC Three, can you explain what order they were supposed to have aired...because they didn't!

BBC Two has shown them in a completely different order, is that they right way around?

The order that was shown on BBC three was:-

Top Gun,
Rear Window,
The Shining,
then the same order as BBC two, shallow grave etc.

Not sure if BBC two was correct order or BBC three. Don't think it really matters for the type of programme it is. Guess it does for those who made it though.
Bit baffled that BBC2 showed the film Top Gun on the day the Top Gun episode was meant to be aired. Thought they were gonna do clever "Here's the homage and here's the film to compare it to" thing but didn't.

Would have been good if the bbc could get each film to play before/after equivalent episode.

It didn't make that much difference but there was a bit of a continuity thing with Art and Beth that I did notice, I think Art was sneezing before we were told about his alergy to Beth and in the Top Gun one he and Beth aren't quite so uptight around each other as they were in some of the others.

On the BBC2 showings they seemed to start off antagonistic and then warm to each other so I thought that maybe BBC Three had got the order wrong.

You're right about them playing the films alongside the spoofs though.

Top gun , Rear window, The shining, Shallow grave, 8 and a half and last but not least butch cassidy and the sundance kid
bbc 2 got them in the wrong order just like the mighty boosh but at least they showed them all
I didnt get the last 2 as much as the others since i hadnt seen the movies they go with but i i got them in the end
Also The bike scene in the last episode where they are being chased by the postmen were filmed in the streets around my house and i even saw them... sorry to show off

Y'see this is where I get confused 'cause Top Gun was the first episode I saw, it was the first ep that BBCThree showed, but having seen the whole series it doesn't seem to fit in as the first epiosde.

I know it doesn't really matter as the episodes stand out on their own as one-offs but the attitude between Art and Beth jumps from getting along to loathing each other without much explanation if it is meant to be shown in that order.

We've just got them on video on demand on homechoice, and the order they've got them is:

Rear Window
The Shining
Top Gun
Shallow Grave
8 1/2
Butch and Sundance

Wow, just noticed how old this thread is... oh well!

The order the shows are supposed to be in is REAR WINDOW, THE SHINING, TOP GUN, SHALLOW GRAVE, 8 1/2, BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID.

BBC Three decided to put TOP GUN out first because its then controller was worried that a BBC Three audience might not watch/understand a show based on an old film like REAR WINDOW.
