Too bad there's nothing like it for Chess
Chess is an awesone game, too. There are too many people out there too scared by its complexity to even try to learn it, though. *sad*

The success of Hikaru No Go was greatly due to go's association with the japanese national identity. Chess presently does not enjoy any such identification.
