VS Ghost Adventures??

ANY comments, thoughts or have u heard anything about what the crew of G.H. thinks/opinions of, has about the crew & 'equiptment' used by G.A.?? Ghost Hunters doesn't use the same equiptment(type etc) as Ghost Adventures. 'Spirit Box'-G.A./ G.H.- K2. (Explains high EMFs, paranoia(poss),G.A. NEVER considers that part. Ideas???

reply

I do not know what the two think of each other.
It seems like Ghost Hunters feel their $#!T does not stink, & that they are The Kings of Paranormal Investigators. Ghost Adventure guys seem to be pretty open to working with other Paranormal Investigators, & seem to have a much more open mind to new ideas & tech. I use to like G.A. better, & then they started all of those 'Re-inactments' & all of that 'Demon' crap, & they really turned me off. Ghost Hunters just plots along as mundainly (word?) as always. I like Ghost Lab better than either.
On a side note: I miss the 'Old' ways Zak & the Boys use to do their investigating.

Yeah, You summed it up perfectly!! I've never heard or seen Ghost Lab. Since you say it's better than the others, plus we seem to have our 'views' in common, I have to try & find this show!! (Thanks by the way). I TOO miss the 'old' Zak & boys, it's a shame because they had personality & kept it "within the realms of credibility". Wasn't TOO far fetched.

Ghost Lab was really silly. Two idiots yelling at ghosts. Thinks like, "I'M TELLING YOU TO COME OUT NOW!!!!"

Yeah, there was a bit of that, but not always, just when spirits they were investigating were supposed "Meanies". At least the Klinge brothers were entertaining. Speaking of entertaining, I DO like it when Steve & Tango are together & mess around like silly school boys. Shows that they really do have a personality.

OMG!! Yes! BUGS! BATS! BIRDS! Aaaaaaaaa! Look Out!! To Funny!

How about the "Dancing" Bit the other night just before Jason says, "OK Guys, time to wrap it up". At first I thought he was going to say, "OK Guys, Knock it Off". Now THAT would have been funny!

They don't like each other. Zak Bagans has made some indirect comments about GH and vice versa.

Really? Did not know that. Never read or heard that. Not doubting you, but do you have a source? Something other than "Indirect Comments"?

If you watch enough 'Ghosty' shows, you will find a lot of the same places are investigated by more than one group. Especially if they are known 'Hot Spots'.
I think Zak & the boys have more luck finding evidence, because they are more sensitive & open to paranormal activity. The Ghost Hunter crews are more of the 'Doubting Thomas' type.
After the first investigation G.A. did at Bobby Mackeys, they felt something attached itself to them. Something dark. It was so bad that Aaron broke up with his girlfriend over it.
If you want to know more about the G.A. crew, pick up Nicks Groff's book "Chasing Spirits". It will give you wonderful insight to the crew & the show.

Hi Sven and Barbie, I agree with a lot of what you are saying re: the differences with GA and GH. Like you said, GH went to Mackies after Zak and the guys had done a two part investigation there (which really did affect all of them). Jason, on the GH investigation said something like “Some other Investigators have been here and sensationalized things.” I’d like to comment though on why I prefer Zak, Nick and Aaron over the GH crew. GA are much more likeable and they are genuinely friends, you can tell. The three of them have stayed together over the years. The GH team has constantly changed and I get the sense Jason is hard taskmaster and Steve is a toady – “Good call Jay, Yes Jay, I agree Jay, etc.”. As for Stave and Tango’s antics, they are stupid and rude in my opinion. Many times people would have them to their homes for genuine help and the GH team tries to come off as “Ultra Professional” and experts. Now that Steve has replaced Grant, he’s no longer in on the “evidence review” and that was what he was very good at. He does sit with the clients for the “reveal” but both he and Jason should learn some manners. At the end of each reveal Jason will invariably say “C’mon, let’s get out of here” and Steve NEVER removes that teen ager type baseball cap. He and Tango actually ran a Ghost Hunter’s School reality show for a few seasons and would pick apart some of the GH contestants for certain things that I see them doing all of the time. As for Steve’s “phobias”, it shows he’s got some “issues”. Heights, spiders, flying, etc. They’ll have Steve giving a startled yell and cut to a commercial and come back to find that he’s seen a spider! My girlfriend grew up in their home base, Warwick, RI and I’m just a few miles away is Mass., so you think I’ root for the “local guys”. I am in Fall River and both teams have done the Lizzie Borden axe murder house. The GA guys found evidence (as did “Amy” on “The Dead Files”) while the GH team didn’t find much, probably because even the ghosts find them to be pompous “know-it-alls”. The killer was when a young woman “Investigator-in-training, who I thought did fine, was pretty much canned on air (transferred to a California affiliated crew). Jason’s both daughters came on as “Investigators” while Adam and several others were always referred to as “Investigators-in-Training” for their first few years. These are just my opinions and thoughts on the matter. (By the way, I saw a recent episode of GA where they were doing an Investigation near Mackies; they stopped by to pay respects to the caretaker, Carl, who had passed away. None of them would go in to the building, which sure has the ring of authenticity to me!)
