Hi Sven and Barbie, I agree with a lot of what you are saying re: the differences with GA and GH. Like you said, GH went to Mackies after Zak and the guys had done a two part investigation there (which really did affect all of them). Jason, on the GH investigation said something like “Some other Investigators have been here and sensationalized things.” I’d like to comment though on why I prefer Zak, Nick and Aaron over the GH crew. GA are much more likeable and they are genuinely friends, you can tell. The three of them have stayed together over the years. The GH team has constantly changed and I get the sense Jason is hard taskmaster and Steve is a toady – “Good call Jay, Yes Jay, I agree Jay, etc.”. As for Stave and Tango’s antics, they are stupid and rude in my opinion. Many times people would have them to their homes for genuine help and the GH team tries to come off as “Ultra Professional” and experts. Now that Steve has replaced Grant, he’s no longer in on the “evidence review” and that was what he was very good at. He does sit with the clients for the “reveal” but both he and Jason should learn some manners. At the end of each reveal Jason will invariably say “C’mon, let’s get out of here” and Steve NEVER removes that teen ager type baseball cap. He and Tango actually ran a Ghost Hunter’s School reality show for a few seasons and would pick apart some of the GH contestants for certain things that I see them doing all of the time. As for Steve’s “phobias”, it shows he’s got some “issues”. Heights, spiders, flying, etc. They’ll have Steve giving a startled yell and cut to a commercial and come back to find that he’s seen a spider! My girlfriend grew up in their home base, Warwick, RI and I’m just a few miles away is Mass., so you think I’ root for the “local guys”. I am in Fall River and both teams have done the Lizzie Borden axe murder house. The GA guys found evidence (as did “Amy” on “The Dead Files”) while the GH team didn’t find much, probably because even the ghosts find them to be pompous “know-it-alls”. The killer was when a young woman “Investigator-in-training, who I thought did fine, was pretty much canned on air (transferred to a California affiliated crew). Jason’s both daughters came on as “Investigators” while Adam and several others were always referred to as “Investigators-in-Training” for their first few years. These are just my opinions and thoughts on the matter. (By the way, I saw a recent episode of GA where they were doing an Investigation near Mackies; they stopped by to pay respects to the caretaker, Carl, who had passed away. None of them would go in to the building, which sure has the ring of authenticity to me!)
