WW1 documentary from the 50's?

What was the name of the American multi-part documentary on World War One made in the 1950’s?

I remember it being re-ran in the 80’s on PBS stations.

Thanks,

PBS used to run the Robert Ryan narrated documentary quit a bit. It's excellent, as is this series. I can remember another WWI documentary serioes on PBS in the late 90's or early 2000's that was really good as well, but I can't remember the name of it or who did the narration.

I actually just found the series that I had forgotten about. The Great War and the Shaping of the 20th Century narrated by Salome Jens. You've gotta love imdb.

It's very inexpensive on Amazon under 20 dollars as a box set. I bought it, it's a nice purchase. Look up Robert Ryan for the exact title, it was made by CBS news in the 1960's.
