nathan barley an artistic statement?

After watching the first ep i felt like it was the most genius commentary on modern culture i had watched in ages, but also the twisted structure of it all that gives it such a meta taste and a feel of being a satire of a satire of a satire of a satire... makes me feel like this is an important piece of post-modernist art

thoughts?

I'm a bit old to be a post-modernist but I think there is a strand of extreme relativism in post-modernism which says "Nothing has value there is no good and bad only things that are fun and things that are boring". Obviously that's the Barley philosophy - but in a world dominated by post-modernism, characters such as the Ashcrofts, who are trying to keep some sort of moral compass, look impossibly earnest and preachy. The genius of this show is that combines an utterly nihilistic viewpoint with good old-fashioned values of plot and character development.

As far as I'm concerned, everything Chris Morris has ever been involved with is all pure art.
