Dr Strom

Since this is a Spider-man parody, they change the names of Spider-man to Dragonfly, Green Goblin to Hourglass, Mary Jane to Jill Johnson, etc, but the lab assistant Dr Strom keeps the exact same name. What was the point in this? Were they too lazy to come up with an original name? I know that this movie also features Wolverine, Xavier and Invisible woman, but those characters are in there for the sake of parody, people know those characters well. Explain to me exactly why they felt it was necessary to use Dr Strom in this movie...
