come on guys, you know this movie was better than that. there were alot of lame jokes, but i haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

Well, it could be that those of us who think that a 4.2 is rather low for this movie were the ones who stayed for the credits and saw all of the jokes...some of which SHOULD have been in the actual movie...plus the outtakes.
And the people dragging the score down are the all the ones who left the minute it seemed like it was over (as in everyone at the showing I went to)?

I keep hearing people who think this movie is made by the same people who crafted the pieces of utter crap "Epic Movie" and "Meet the Spartans" and I always correct them. This movie definitely deserves higher than 4.2, thats for sure.

i gave it a 6. If you ask me if you LOVE the naked gun movies/stuff like that you will LIKE this movie. Im not going to lie i thought this movie would suck aswell but we just watched it and it wasnt bad i laughed a lot and im a huge leslie nielson fan.

Agreed, this was actually a parody movie that gets the genre (not surprising as it consists of some of the ZAZ crew). It certainly isn't a classic but it's probably the best parody movie in recent years. Utter trash like Meet the Spartans, Epic Movie and Date movie are the death of the genre. More like this please.

Agreed. This film rises above the standard of the other recent spoof movies. I have to admit it - I laughed til I cried. Deserves about a 5.6 in my opinion.
Biggest laugh of the movie for me: when Rick was raped by all the animals. I love the snail.... "Hold him down, boys, I'm coming". Then later on in the scene the snail says "Take it all, bitch!!!"

The two thousand '1' ratings are probably given by an enourmity of user who think it is the same makers of Epic Movie and Meet The Spartans.
I'm sure most of the people that gave it 'one', didn't even see the movie first.

I mean, if someone comes on IMDB and saw a 4.2 rating, they will not go see the movie at all, thinking it is garbage, thus the movie will lose money it actually deserves.
There are very few real comedies out there lately (I'm not talking I Now prounounce you Chuck and Larry or Superbad). And even fewer are being made because they just aren't a big market anymore. I believe those pointless '1' scores are doing more damage than people think.
I used to trust imdb's rating. Now I know it's just codswallop like most mass rating sysmtems out there.
If people can just stop giving it '1' just because all the other spoof movies were so bad, we might actually see something decent again. Hot Shots 3 anyone?
I agree, 2400 '1 ratings' is absurd. I have seen Epic Movie and MTS and this movie is clearly not made by the same writers. When you read the title of a movie and it contains the word: "....movie", lots of people will think it sucks. Superhero movie however is the best slapstick/spoof movie I've seen in a long time.
off topic: the rating system should ask you 3 questions about the movie before you can vote, just to make sure you have watched the film.

This movie is a disgrace to all spoofs and/or comedy flicks. It was not funny for one moment. It lasted 59 minutes until the endscore... WTF. I paid 5.25 euro for that. On the other hand, I was happy the pain only lasted that long.

I find it depressing that the only decent comedy in recent YEARS have been shot down so quickly just because it's peers have done so badly.
