Films about Nazi Resistance

I really enjoyed this movie. I am amazed and inspired by the courage Sophie and so many others displayed during World War II by resisting the Nazi's and/or saving Jews. Does anyone know of other films depicting true accounts of Nazi resistance? This is a new genre for me. The few films I'm aware of are:

Sophie Scholl (obviously)
Schindler's List
The Ninth Day
Rossenstrause

There is also a good book "The Righteous" by Martin Gilbert that has a lot of accounts of people who saved Jews during the war.

There are two other films about Sophie Scholl and the White Rose:
"Die Weiße Rose" (1982) and "Fünf letzte Tage" (1982), both with Lena Stolze as Sophie Scholl. I haven't seen the latter, but I really liked "Die Weiße Rose".

"Black Book" is "inspired by true events", that is, the protagonist was not real, but it is about resistance in Holland (?) and it's really good.
It's also quite sad, my friend couldn't stop crying for an hour after we left-

Staufenberg and Sophie Scholl are the best known.

The Pianist (2002) by Polanski is a true story from the Warsaw Ghetto uprising. Fantastic movie.

Another movie that you might find interesting, is
Die Bruecke(1959)

It is not technically a movie about resistance, but it plays in the last days of war, when 7 young boys are drafted, and end up guarding a bridge (some of the imagery was copied by Spielberg in Private Ryan with very different effect)
It is a very strong anti-war movie. Again, true story, and fantastic movie

If i am correct, there were 17 attempts on hitlers life. If you ask me, i think satan was protecting his favorite son during each assassination attempt.

Check out Aimee and Jaguar. An awesome film. It focuses on the lives of Felice Schragenheim, a Jew who was part of an underground Nazi-resistance organization and Lilly Wust, the wife of a Nazi soldier. The movie is just one stunning piece of work. It's adapted from the book written by Erica Fischer and is based on real events.

The 2004(2005?) German film, 'Edelweißpiraten ' is at least heavily based on truth: The Edelweiss Pirates did exist, of course, but I don't know if the film's main characters were real.

There's 'Soldier of Orange' which focuses on the Dutch resistance. Another was a British produced film 'Went the Day Well? where English villagers fight back against German invaders of the village. And one focused on the Czech resistance. That was 'Operation Daybreak' where Heydrich, targeted for assassination, was attacked by two Czech agents and eventually died of his wounds

Rosenstrasse (2003) is an exceptionally good account of resistance that actually succeeded.

yes sophie was a good movie, for low budget.
These type movies dont make any money at theatre, which is why they
are low budget and hard to find.This is sad as these movies teach
valuable things, but people would rather see transformers or dinosaurs
or the latest, the star wars nonsense. And I liked the 1st 3, and 2nd 3,
but this latest one has no appeal to me. but it will make over a billion $.

Flame and citron, is 130 min.

The sophie movie I was thinking it was sad these young people
lost their lives, somewhat foolishly when the war only had 2 years left
and hitler would be dead.
But I also thought, that the way germany was bombed, and then the
russian invasion and allies, there is good chance they would have been
killed before the end of the war, but a decent chance they could have survived.

I say foolishly, because most germans were either pro nazi, or smart enough
to know resistance was futile.
Also they were trying to compete with a vast and advanced nazi propoganda
machine that had been in action since 1933.

This is a look into minds of people before mass media, when there was no tv
just books.
