No, not really, but I felt like pissing some people off right now :)

I'm just watching it for the first time. Aaron has tons of energy and athletic talent. It is a cute, feel good movie and nothing is wrong with that.
Looking at some of the other comments, most folks seemed to have missed that main character (named JANE), is inspired by Jane Austen. Also, some of the movie's language, comes from her highly acclaimed novels. Perhaps the angry critics here, are unfamiliar with Jane Austen's works? Brilliant reads all ... that's why so many AUSTEN movies have been made.
Also, seeing how tough the teen High School years can be, CELEB or not, explored important reasons for younger folks' alienation, in our stressed out World.
People here, are MUCH too harsh to this movie, and to Aaron Carter. And no... I'm not a boy crazed teen ~ I'm pushing 70. :)
