Iron Maiden kicks ass and so does this video
Last summer I saw Iron Maiden with Dio and Motorhead. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Maiden still performs at top notch and Bruce is awesome because he talks smack about the current state of music, radio, and television. He even promoted the bootlegging of the performance and old Napster.
A guy from work let me borrow Live After Death. It's impressive to me that Bruce was fighting the likes of *beep* music even back in '85. Seeing Maiden back in the day must have been an awesome show.
Thankfully, Iron Maiden hasn't lost a single step. Bands like Metallica become radio friendly mild rock bands but old timers like Iron Maiden still manage to keep metal alive and well.
Live After Death is a must see for any Maiden fan or someone who wants to get a taste of what Maiden is all about. It looks dated with all the spandex but the music is not. They could be the greatest live band of all-time and Live After Death displays the sheer immortality of Iron Maiden. LONG LIVE EDDIE!
