How the hell could those monsters swallow someone whole?

Once that coat (or whatever you call it) got off, the monster was revealed to be not so big actually. It's mouth seemed to be only just a bit larger than that girl's arm (which she shoved down into one of it's throats)

My problem with that scene was, she never cut her arm on the razor sharp fangs and the monster as fast as they were, could's bitten off her hand before she reached the throat.

"she never cut her arm on the razor sharp fangs"

As far as I remember it, having seen it 15 minutes ago, she punched out all of the monster's teeth with the shotgun first.

Din't she repeatedly smash the monster in the teeth with the shotgun stock? I remember it having no teeth left when the reached down its throat to kill it.

ya she smashed out all its teeth

maybe it swallowed someone whole cuz it can unhook it's jaw like anacondas and other snakes can. (just a thought)

don't sharks have jaws(haha, no pun intended)like that also?

Or maybe they were trained by Linda Lovelace?

have you even seen a snake? they're not too big compared to the food they swallow whole

reply

I think you sent this to the wrong person. I agree that they have huge mouths and are capable of swallowing someone whole. Plus, they're bigger than the people that they ate.

I don't think the physiology of these creatures was meant to be debated in any great detail. But for what it's worth, there's an 'autopsy' scene in the sequel. Perhaps these questions can be answered there.
