It manages to stay away from all except ONE horror cliche... *Spoilers*

The black dude had three lines and the first death. Typical horror flick :]

There's something inside me... that's lethal. - Teeth

reply

Second death, Hero dies first.

I am Jack's smirking revenge.

reply

Well, you know what I mean :]

There's something inside me... that's lethal. - Teeth

remember, if he wasn't one of the first to die he would have said a one liner at the very end, that we are supposed to think is pure comedy brilliance.
I wrote a study on "the black guy" in horror films, and it is very offensive for the most part.

If you are Anti-American: Admit you are doing it just to be cool. Does it feel good to hate?

reply

No, but it feels good not to be American.

reply

It feels good not to be a judgmental *beep* as well.

reply

The black guy in Night Of The Living Dead was the last guy to die. Maybe just evening things out

reply

There's a black dude in this movie? I just saw it and I can't remember anyone being black.. WOW!

Do what you want with a man but do not *beep* with his Cadillac

reply

Yeah, poor Vet. Oh well. This cliche makes me laugh cause I'm always expecting and waiting for it.

reply

There was the cliche of the 90 lb tuff girl.

reply

The ending is cliché as well.
We all think the creatures are dead and gone, but then... They pop out again. Surprise! Except not.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)
