I agree, Vergil is not bad, he's just misguided. I feel so bad for him; he's absolutely riddled with guilt due to his mother's murder and he thinks that if he can obtain enough power he won't have to hurt anymore. Though he acts cold, he's definitely not. He doesn't want to kill Dante after all. I mean, if he wanted to kill him, then what was with that final slash, or should I say, lack of final slash, he never raised his sword-allowing Dante to take a nice swing to his body. He also stopped Dante from stopping him from falling over the edge. Poor kid.
