Keep it British!!!!!

Somethings are better left original.WHY does everyone think that copycat ideas are going to be just as good as the original???
One thing to say to the HGTV people-LEAVE IT BRITISH AND FROM BRITAIN!Find another idea for a show besides the American version of Cash in the Attic. You can't do it as well as the British,SO LEAVE IT ALONE AND GIVE IT UP!!!
You will NEVER equal it no matter how hard you try or what you have on it!!!
British people have this show down and you shouldn't of ever tried to copycat it in ANY way!!!

I Agree.. i TOTALY Agree, well i wasnt very happy to see that hgtv (American Channel) totaly stole Brittish's tv show Idea.
I love the Brittish one WAYYY better, i mean..atleas i can understand what the people are saying (lol), i mean.. in the American Version its like.." handhapiwanadoyousushisblabla" lol (And witouth taking a break), and while in the Brittish one they speak Clear.
"going once, going Twice and sold" (something like that)also in a cute Brittish accent.
(gosh.. i still think that the way those hgtv version guys speak is hillarious)

I don't like the idea of an american remake either, and I'm from the U.S.
The British version is perfect, we'd only screw it up.

I'm 50% Irish, the other half is French. I like to get drunk and surrender.

As i'm british KEEP IT BRITISH.. Yes

reply

I definately like the British version more. The American version is too fast and in-your-face in my opinion.

reply

Yes, yes to all the above!

I am American and I hated the fact that they made an American version, we just don't have as good antiques as the Europeans.
The American version is also quite boring, they cram too much in 30 minutes.

reply

That is SO true.It seems all the really unique and good antiques are in Europe.
There are things over there that never made it over here.
I think they have a better selection of antiques and collectables, better made and better quality. That is why the British version will always be superior.

reply

Most of the attempts at take-offs from the British shows seem to falter when presented on American tv, another good example now is The Office.

reply

Very true. Europe has far better antiques than America.

I love when he found a music sheet holder from the 1800s that the woman's children used to look at themselves in the mirror and she used as a remote holder.
