Angus - finally a decent replacement for Alistair?

I have to say that I'm really liking Angus Purden on the current series being shown on BBCAmerica. Good looking, well spoken (with that sexy scottish accent), and he seems to have that same spark with the antique owners that Alistair has. It almost seems to like you have to be gay to host this show properly.

Personally, I find his accent a little too thick for my taste. If they can't bring Alistair back, they should've stuck with Ben Fogle. One of the reasons why I didn't give this show a higher rating, it seems to go through more hosts than other shows.

If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?

I have probably seen every episode of this show (most of them more than once) and I would rate the hosts of CitA in the following order:

1. Alistair (he'll always be #1)
2. Ben
3. Angus

The other hosts aren't even worth listing. Additionally, I can't stand the 2 women. In particular, Lorne Spicer is the worse. Her laugh is annoying and I just want to plow my fist through her smirking face.

Alistair really is the best of all and no one compares to his charm and wit!!!

Aah, what's wrong with Lorne? Great Essex girl!

I'm not too keen on Lorne - her voice grates on my ears. Angela Rippon is over-smiley cheesey and Jennie Bond seems really stuck-up. I like Alistair and Angus though - very easy-going and pleasant.
