*possible spoiler* where did Tania come from?

I've just watched Pregi on DVD, and agree with the reviews - it's a wonderful film which entirely deserves the awards and acclaim it has received.

However... watching the "extras" on the DVD, there are some scenes which were cut, including Young Wojciech talking to a dark haired girl at School with whom he clearly has "feelings" (the scenes where he is distracted in class looking out the window - it's at her). Unfortunately the extras weren't subtitled and my Polish doesn't go beyond stringing a few nouns together, so I couldn't be clear, but it looked like this was a young Tania?

I may have missed this being alluded to in the main film, but can anyone who has seen the extras, or read the book verify this? It seems strange otherwise that Tania would know so much about Wojciech's history - "people say you're just like your father", etc.
