User comments illustrate basic flaw of IMDB's system

The system used, where you click either on Useful or Not useful, results in a skewed order of the comments. Most people do not click useful to say that they thought the comment gave them something to think about, rather they use it to say I agree or I do not agree. That way, very interesting comments are delegated all the way to the end of the comments, simply because people do not agree with the contents. If there are only 2 pages of comments, as is the case here, you still manage to read both sides, but if we look at 30 or 40 pages, once a comment is demoted to page 4 or 5 it will never resurface. I feel this takes away a lot of the usefulness of the comments. Maybe IMDB should consider 2 sets of choices: in addition to useful, people could click on Agree / Not agree
