Najica: Serious Plot Questions

(SPOILERS revealed in questions asked below)

Just watched the whole Najica series, I enjoyed it and plan to buy the boxset - but first I need some questions answered so that I can have closure on many of the story points. I have never read the manga.

I know some will think Najica is just a panty show not worthy of analysis but I think it's good enough to warrant some talk of its details and lingering questions.

I don't really need definitive answers to these questions - just your opinion, speculation, or interpretation of the possible answers will do.

So if you can answer one, two or all of the following please do so:

1.) Why does Najica often go to her room alone, empty the gun powder of a shell into an ashtray, then light a cigarette on top of it? She then sits there quietly and lets the smoke filled the room. One time she even demanded privacy of Lila to do this. What is your interpretation for the signifigance/reasons behind this?

2.) What was the original, primary purpose for the creating of the Humaritts? To be used as sex objects, slaves, military spies, or what?

3.) Why were so many Humaritts "out in the wild", being used by other people and what not? Were they stolen, escaped or what? Why was it so important for Najica to retrieve them? Why does it matter to her employers Gento and Jin? What is Gento's relationship or interest in the Humaritts in general?

4.) Who were the Humaritt X and Doctor Rinka Ren? I'm not clear on these characters. Was Rinka Ren once a human who we don't see on the show? Were Humaritt X and Rinka Ren always the same person? How or why does Humaritt X have the strange powers she has? What are her motivations for looking after the male boy Humaritt or defending the Humaritt base?

5.) Why do the Humaritts have to get into the red water baths nude every now and then to recharge or whatever?

6.) What was the purpose and/or importance of the young male boy Humaritt seen at the end of the series? Why does Lila feel a connection to him or care about him?

7.) Near the conclusion, what are all those gestating Humaritts lined up in rows on the speeding trains there for? Where are they going or being sent on those trains and why did they show that?

8.) What happened at the end of the series exactly? Why did Najica and Lila draw guns at each other after previously being so close? Were both shot or did both miss? What was the result of the two fired shots? Were Lila and the boy killed?

9.) If Lila and the boy were not killed, did Najica help them escape the country? What was the result of the shots then? If Lila and the boy did escape what do think will become of them? Will Lila be raising the boy as his mother or what?

10.) What is your opinion of Najica's CRI spy company and her boss Jin, in general? Are they good or evil? Do they take advantage of Najica's skills and her loyalty or are they completely just? Why is Najica so loyal to the company anyway? And are they a non-sanctioned private company or an official government agency?

11.) What were the chips given to Gento every now and then by some of the rescued Humaritts/people Najica brought back to him? Why were those chips important or their data kept secret from Najica?

--Okay, thanks...

>1.) Why does Najica often go to her room alone, empty the gun powder of a shell >into an ashtray, then light a cigarette on top of it? She then sits there quietly >and lets the smoke filled the room. One time she even demanded privacy of Lila to >do this. What is your interpretation for the signifigance/reasons behind this?

Remember what her day job is? She's a perfume designer. The shell contains scent powders. That she burns to relaxes.

>2.) What was the original, primary purpose for the creating of the Humaritts? To >be used as sex objects, slaves, military spies, or what?

Depends on what the customer wants.

>6.) What was the purpose and/or importance of the young male boy Humaritt seen at >the end of the series? Why does Lila feel a connection to him or care about him?

Think of him as Lila's brother. Most of the other Humaritt can be considered her sisters, being that he's the only one, and still not imprinted, she does feel the need to protect him.

>8.) What happened at the end of the series exactly? Why did Najica and Lila draw >guns at each other after previously being so close? Were both shot or did both >miss? What was the result of the two fired shots? Were Lila and the boy killed?

The whole point of the show is to see Lila went from an unemotional robot to someone with feeling. She feel the need to be free with her 'brother', and in the end, Najica granted her that.

>10.) What is your opinion of Najica's CRI spy company and her boss Jin, in >general? Are they good or evil? Do they take advantage of Najica's skills and >her loyalty or are they completely just? Why is Najica so loyal to the company >anyway? And are they a non-sanctioned private company or an official government >agency?

Who knows? She's probably well paid for both of her jobs.

Just finished re-watching the series so I thought I'd take a stab at these...

It's basically Najica's only chance to be alone without any interruptions. The powder is like those fragrance sticks that people burn... it's just a way for her to relax before/after each mission.

>2.) What was the original, primary purpose for the creating of the Humaritts? To be used as sex objects, slaves, military spies, or what?

They seem to be primarily used as weapons/defense, but as the series progresses they seem to have all sorts of uses.

I think Gento is interested in Humaritts because of their beuty and because he's a scientist. Najica's mission is to retrieve the violent Humaritts because they are out of control and cause harm.

Dr. Rinka Ren is the creator of the Humaritts and from the final ep I gathered she simply left her experiments behind. Humaritt X seemed to be the most advanced Humaritt, capable of mimicking the Dr., as well as controlling satellites & so on. Being the most advanced, she was also the most flawed due to her ability to feel emotions.

>5.) Why do the Humaritts have to get into the red water baths nude every now and then to recharge or whatever?

Must be some kind of fuel for them to absord as they soak it all in.

>6.) What was the purpose and/or importance of the young male boy Humaritt seen at the end of the series? Why does Lila feel a connection to him or care about him?

She seems to regard him as not only her brother, but as someone to care for. She's starting to show emotions for the first time, which leads her to betray Najica.

>7.) Near the conclusion, what are all those gestating Humaritts lined up in rows on the speeding trains there for? Where are they going or being sent on those trains and why did they show that?

My guess is they were the last remaining shipments of Humaritts. Perhaps after the Dr. left the manufactoring process still continued.

>8.) What happened at the end of the series exactly? Why did Najica and Lila draw guns at each other after previously being so close? Were both shot or did both miss? What was the result of the two fired shots? Were Lila and the boy killed?

Najica basically forced Lila to make a choice so that she can become more human. Lila no longer blindly followed Najica and became her own "person". I think they both "misfired" and Lila & the boy survived.

>9.) If Lila and the boy were not killed, did Najica help them escape the country? What was the result of the shots then? If Lila and the boy did escape what do think will become of them? Will Lila be raising the boy as his mother or what?

I think she helped them by partially "failing" her mission which is to retrieve the Humaritts. We didn't see Gento procuring the bodies so it makes sense they got away. And I said partially because Najica still got X.

Most likely they're some kind of government agency, along the lines of Alias or James Bond. I didn't notice any evidence of them being unjust, so I can only assume they're legit.

>11.) What were the chips given to Gento every now and then by some of the rescued Humaritts/people Najica brought back to him? Why were those chips important or their data kept secret from Najica?

Perhaps they were memory chips Gento needed to study. It seems CRI was intent on learning about the Humaritts and why they funtion the way they do.
