KATO YASUNORI and HIROSHI ARAMATA!?

I noticed that Miike co-wrote this movie with Hiroshi Aramata, the author of "Doomed Megalopolis." There's a character in the movie called Kato--is it the same villain from "Doomed Megalopolis?" Heck, I also saw the name Abe no Seimei in the character listing. Do we get to see the two Onmyoji duke it out!?
Honestly, nobody has mentioned Hiroshi Aramata yet. His influence on the screenplay would be the main reason I would want to watch this film.

It definitely is! Etsushi Toyokawa, the actor who plays Kato in this movie, says that he loved the book Doomed Megalopolis and was intrigued when they offered him the character of Kato for a completely unrelated film. Toyokawa also talked extensively with Aramata about his interpretation of the character. He also said how surprised he was that he wasn't wearing the military garb that Kato usually wears. (Yet Kato still has a penchant for Pentagrams on his clothing)
