Regarding the 5.8 score. I can see that as realistic. I mean, look at the vote history, 46% of the 57 votes were 10s and 9s. Now, look at the cast and crew credits. Honestly, of the 28 or so votes that were 9s or 10s, how many should readers believe are legit votes, not cast by cast, crew, family and friends.
I am sorry, but even in the world of low budget indies, shot on DV, this is in no way worthy of an honest 10 or 9. I can believe that there were honest 8s in there though. BTW, I saw this at Sidewalk in 2005 and I voted it a 4.

This is an impressive movie ... but as to weighted averages from the number of posts here by the director I can well believe that several of those "10"'s are by him! ;-) ... just kidding.
I am sure there are other 10's ... this was a good movie ... I think the problem with it is that it glorifies prostitution in a kind of chilling way. Another thing ... the movie is called "You Are Alone" ... who exactly is the "You"? All people? Brittni? Buddy? Why?
