As an adaptation, yeah. As a film, it's kick all kind of asses!
Racist Game = Pool. WHITE ball push COLORED balls back into holes. BLACK ball out = you win.

Racist Game = Bowling. BLACK (or COLORED), 10 lbs ball smashes into WHITE pins w/ RED NECKS. All WHITE pins KO'd = perfect game.

The OP is a moron. Whether a person agrees with how Woo adpapted the story or not, this film is not a 1/10. Few films are. I suspect the OP is someone who rates movies he likes 10/10 and movies he doesn't 1/10 as he is unable to appreciate all facets of movie making.
