Thanks crazy acers, yes, the title Sorry Haters was quite appropriate. The show on TV the women work at was called that. PPl walking around with bling and acting like they're all that and trying to be better than everyone else. It implies the state of our society, and maybe an answer to why 3rd world countries are hurting and pissed and some extremists freak and set bombs. Who needs a $10k purse when in your own country ppl are starving, have no decent health care or education and the government and excessive religion are oppressing their every move. Sorry Haters not only works to explain the vast chasm between the have and have nots, and the revolution that erupts under these conditions, just like in Russia, and France when they cut off Queen Antoinet's head....one reason explaining terrorism. Also, haters as Phoebe was of herself and everyone and everything else, and groups of haters, Americans against Muslims or vice versa, etc. Her getting back at the big time "I'm better than you are" types, like Bill Gates, Trump, Oprah Winfrey, and Martha Stewart (the pics on the collage, I'm not saying these ppl are bad, just talking about those in the collage) staging her own mini war as a mini terrorist herself. Plus, using the current 911 political climate to push her revenge even further. Another reaction to all the hate in general. Plus, haters is a lingo hip timely phrase that catches the eye. I thought the movie was going to be about black hip hop types or Paris Hilton types, until I found out what it really was about. IF you would have called it something else it may have ruined the plot because you had no idea what was going to happen. This movie wasn't exactly ahead of it's time, but I think it was over the head of a lot of ppl. myself included until I understood it much better after going through these threads. I feel it was highly underated.
