The budget...

How did he get such a massive budget for a short? I think it was a great short and I really enjoyed In Bruges. I'm also looking forward to Seven Psychopaths. But I just want to know how he got such a massive budget. I want to do a short in Ireland and I have won some screenplay awards so I want to do one but I have no budget or nothing. Great short though. ;)
