Do kids that young eat celery?!?

Hi all, when the farmhand first arrives and has his first lunch together with the family, the little boy has a plateful of carrots and celery. Isn't celery too difficult for a ~2 year old to chew, though? ...With all those fibers/strings in it? Also, wouldn't completely plain celery be too bland? There wasn't any peanut butter or dip on it. If that's all I had to eat, I'd starve. No wonder we only actually saw him eating the carrots!!!

My 2 1/2 year old loves celery- she has since she was 1. She chews it up and then throws away the fibers.

Oh, no way! Thank you for your reply, because I was really baffled! I don't have any children and my nieces/nephew are on the other coast. :-)

My little sister does that too, nyuk nyuk.

If he has teeth, he can eat celery.

Some people 'devein' their celery sticks.

Why do people so frequently get told to read the book on a movie database?
