Did anyone else think that Matthew Fenton actually looks a lot like Elijah Wood (or what Elijah Wood would have looked like at five years old)?
I just thought that was pretty funny given Jake's love of the LOTR movies. Wonder if that helped the casting director make his decision? :D
No, I don't see any resemblance between Matthew Fenton (Jake) and Elijah Wood, age 5 or any other age.
Don't get me wrong - I think Matthew is an adorable little boy, and I loved him in this movie. I just don't think he looks anything like EW at all, apart from them both being white boys with brown hair. Elijah Wood has very large, wide-set blue eyes, a straight nose, and full lips (especially lower lip). Matthew Fenton has average sized, close-set brown eyes, a small, upturned nose, and thin lips.

I guess it's all a matter of opinion, but I just don't see it.
