Even with good acting, this film was terrible.

I had never heard of this film until I saw it in the video store. I only rented it because I love Kathy Bates, and I think Christine Baranski is just brilliant. But the roles these actors were given were to typical of what they normally play. (Christine Baranski playing a upperclass uptight witch and DeVito and Bates playing goofballs were not exactly a stretch.) I really don't think I laughed one time during this film.
