Gore effects were incredible bad

I have no idea how big the budget was for the 3rd pusher movie. But seriously *spoilers* that scene where Milo's friend guts that polis guy were pretty lame in terms of special effects.

Same thing with the blood in the movie, I have no idea why they didn't use pig blood or fake gentials/lungs, why use a crappy fake theater blood when it doens't look beliavlbe at all?

The movie isn't as bad some people likes it to be, it's pretty obvious there newer should have been sequels to the original, bank rupt is always a bad thing eh.

Doesn't help hearing the director talking about a possible 4th pusher either (script is done).

Good actors, nice directing, but what's up with the ending?

The internal organs was not fake, they were from a pig, but the budget did stop the slaughting scene (which is pretty okay, the audience gets the point)

And the ending is perfect, the audience gets to decide what happens afterwards (I personally think that the swimming pool reflects Milo's life .. empty!)

Yeah youre right, but I though the 'gutting scene' was pretty good.
The endings of all the Pushers are like that.
I hope the fourth is about Kusse Kurt, lots of people are saying the fourth should explain what happened to Frank, Tonny and Milo, but that would completely ruin the series I think, unless it was done really well and didnt end with rumours of a fifth.

It's also a homage to all the gore and splattermovies form the 70's and 80's that Refn is a huge fan of.

I think Pusher 4 should be about Radovan.

I thought the scene was really well done. The drawn out nature of it, and the bizarre simplicity of the scene had a strong affect on me. And yes, I thought it looked very real. And coincidentally, I didn't recognize any distinctly nonhuman parts of the pig pluck I.E. Cecum etc.

The evisceration/gutting scene was really cool. =D Sure, it wasn´t the most realistic scene of its kind out there, but like another poster typed, it did get the point across; and it was a satisfyingly humiliating end to the lives of those scumbags Milo beat to death with a hammer!

Most of Lucio Fulci´s gore scenes are rather ´fake´, if you take any time to study them; at least Pusher 3´s crew put a creative spin on their subject matter, and shot the scene as best they could with obviously limited elements.

In the end, i must say i enjoy the scene greatly.

first off, one cannot make a good gore scene without showing the cutting/ripping of the body part :)
the scene was not that bad was lame for sure.

I've got to disagree on this. Sometimes not everything needs to be shown. Look at the chainsawing scene in Scarface. You can get the point across, sometimes even more effectively by showing less. Leave a little up to the viewer's imagination. Also, check out the original Oldboy. Same thing. You come away thinking you saw much more than you actually did.

Not showing the cutting is more effective for those with a strong imagination, as with reading a book.
