Came this close to ruining the film for me. My god. Idolizing a genocidal murderer. As someone who's part argentinian, I feel ashamed such obscure and despicable figure even made it to fame.

I found Ritz's interest in the plight of African-americans questionable, seeing as we never actually see a black person in 60's Denmark countryside. I get that it's supposed to be about 'justice'. But there's plenty of causes to stand up for that are closer to home.

I found myself sympathizing with Bent Mejding's character more often than not. Though I do not condone child abuse under any circumstances, I prioritize order over other, in my mind more trivial, things.

Either way, other than these minors snafus, I found the film rather enjoyable, the acting very convincing. Though the plot was rather trite and predictable at times.
