Yeah, anyone could have played that role. Well, anyone female and cute. But Lucy was perfectly fine in it. What's your beef? I'd have pronged her, so I can believe that Slevin would have also, and that's really all that matters.

Lucy Liu was perfect in this role. I can say that this film made me a fan of Lucy Liu and whats wrong with short girls. I would have nothing against. And I donยดt care too that she is a decade older than Josh Hartnett when she is so sweet.
shareI also tend to get annoyed by height differences in movies but I actually thought this one was so cute! The two of them were so adorable together, like he could fit her in his pocket. Also, since she was the quirky girl-next-door, her tiny frame totally worked.
Really, without Lucy Liu the movie would have been completely different. I liked that casting directors could have easily cast the typical blonde, doe-eyed, average-height starlet as Lindsey but went for the whip-smart yet nonetheless adorable Lucy Liu. It was the best decision, really--few actresses could have pulled off the witty dialogue the way she did.
Physically I think she was fine although somehow she didn't convince me she was a coroner.
I just wished she didn't speak so quickly in her conversations with "Nick". I found it quite difficult to follow what she was saying at times.
Lucy was just fine for the role. The only problem was with the character, but to be fair, it's the same problem in almost every movie: the girl is cute, smart, friendly, gainfully employed, and can evidently fall in love with a guy within a few hours of meeting him --- but there is no sign that she has a husband, boyfriend, or even another male acquaintance.
Where do you find these girls? Every girl I've ever known that's even half as cute as Lucy is either married, or living with somebody.
I get a little tired of it. Like all those Sandra Bullock movies where she couldn't get a date for the last six months. Just ridiculous.

I think Lucy Liu was perfect for the role. While she may not have the most diverse talents (which is why she's less cast as an actress), if there's one thing she has been able to nail perfectly it's the delivery of quick witted meta humor without having to come across like some stereotypical hapless, quirky Zooey Deschanel type.
