7.8!? This was a (fairly mediocre) ripoff of several different writers

It was obvious watching this that a little was taken from Questin Tarantino, a little was taken from Christopher McQuarrie, and a little was taken from Elmore Leonard.

It was clear that someone sat down at a laptop and put together a script that directly borrows the styles of these writers.

The movie was mildly entertaining even with the obvious theft. I give it a 6. I don't get the 7.8 rating at all.

I thought it was terrible, dialogue feels so forced and fake. Tarantino, Ritchie, Shane Black, they do it well. This film does not.

reply

Agreed. No one to care about and dialogue and plotting have all been done before-and BETTER.

I couldn't even finish it. Boring and rehashed.

Good thing you don't decide all. And people are allowed their opinions.

reply

Oh its a 6? Not a 7.8? Damn you need to get a life

Very weak all around and those who like it must live in a sensory deprivation room most of the day.

And you can argue that Tarantino took from the comics/manga style, and so one. You are influenced by your taste and what you see and read.
