Boooooring, and hard to watch
At first, I thought the movie showing only what Furlong's character shot with the video camera was just an introduction, but it got old pretty fast. The ENTIRE film is shot using the handheld camera belonging to the main character, and for me it was hard to watch after about 15 minutes. Like being invited to someone's house to watch random videos he or she shot around the house, sneeking peeks at their parents having sex, etc.
I liked the story; two bored suburban youth from screwed up lives, headin gout on their own...but would have preferred to see it in the traditional way. The camcorder stuff made me nauseous pretty fast, like a cheap version of the Blair Witch Project. It was also hard for me to follow the story, and several times I just got really bored. Oh, and I am not the stereotypical American moviegoer. I like French and German films, so I know about boring movies.
The only good thing I liked about the film were the gratuitous breast shots! The girl has a great rack. But anyway, the story was good, and I liked seeing Edward Furlong again, although I can't see him playing a teenager at his age, and although I am glad he is off drugs and in rehab, it looks like he gained a lot of weight.
