oh ok..thanks..saved me money lol

Disagree. Well worth the watch. Not a frightening horror but an intriguing well directed film.

i thought it was an excellent film. the main character, despite being ridiculously good looking, was not that good of an actor however i think the sensational soundtrack made up for that.

I thought the direction was awful to be honest. The entire thing was completely incoherant and none of the characters were developed throughout the entire film so I didn't give a crap about any of them. It made me laugh that the entire budget seemed to be reserved for a few squibs at the end to make it look as if he'd shot himself in the mouth and was deemed so pivotal that they felt the need to repeat it about 5 times.

Dude man, personally I thought this movie was awesome. Its kind of like Requiem for a Dream. If you have not seen that movie, its a movie EVERYONE NEEDS to see

Requiem for A Dream is in a totally different league to J+H in my opinion. I think I can see where you're coming from with the comparison, but J+H didn't have any of the subtlety, the carefully constructed and paced plot lines, and the acting was - well, I won't go there... They tried to pull of an adaptation of the classic tale 'in modern times', substituting the 18th century scientist/doctor for a rich undergrad medical student into pharmacology, but produced it all in the typical schlock-horror format. It might have been more interesting with a bit of research into the real life designer-drug scene, and some actual character study rather than the epic ruffle-his-hair-and-take-his-glasses-off journey to becoming Hyde that they gave us.

Not really. The plot had a lot of good potential, but it felt very wasted. I think they spent too much time trying to make artistic shots and we ended up with a lot of dry scenes that dragged on and on.

It would be cool to see a much better version of this movie made.
