Help with the character's names

Hi all,

I realize all of the character's names seem to have a reason, with Nicholas Angel being the most obvious. All of the rest seemed to have "-er" names indicating a profession. For example, the flower lady was Tiller, again for obvious reasons.

Does anyone have any information on the reasons for all of the other characters?

I just watched this and noticed the 'er' ending names as well. On the plaque on the fountain, there's about 11 names ending with 'er' and one name, Butterman, that doesn't, although it echoes the description, Police Officerman, that Danny Butterman keeps using. Probably just a bit of fun and nothing too meaningful. Also Nicholas Angel (character), was obviously named for Nick Angel the music supervisor (crew), and there's the two Andys, with names ending in 'wright'. And what about the kid in the mini village, he was named Aaron A. Aaronson. Wonder what the initial 'A' stands for? 😀

Holy smokes... 99 channels and there's nothing on! - The Kid (2000) 

Earlier in the movie, one of the Andys says that can go through the phone book, starting with "Aaron A. Andersen." Angel thinks he's being sarcastic, hence the look on his face when the boy says his name.

Just theories

PC Bob Walker - He takes care of Saxon the police dog, hence dog "walker"

Tim Messenger - Journalist, also comes to Angel to sneak him a 'message' about stuff he's found out before he's killed

Dr Robin Hatcher - "I brought you into this world, seems every right I should take you out of it" egg hatching an egg, birth.

Sergeant Turner - He "turns" from one Sergeant Turner into the other.

Rev. Philip Shooter - He keeps those cufflink guns under his sleeves he shoots from at the end

Roy Porter and wife - They run a pub, Port is a type of fortified wine

Sounds very reasonable. I hadn't noticed most of those things. Thank you very much!
