Disappointed

Being a lifelong Bostonian and somewhat of a Red Sox fan, I was really looking forward to this movie. However, I found the first 45 minutes or so very slow and boring. I know they were going for dry humor, but it just didn't do it for me. Once the game started the movie was interesting, and it even brought tears to my eyes watching Nick cheer on his team only to be let down in the worst way possible.

I totally agree. The first 45 minutes were dull. I was ready to turn it off and go to bed. Then finally, once he met the cab driver and her grandson, it suddenly picked up and became interesting.

I guess I should go back and watch the rest of the movie.

I rarely turn off a movie midway, but this was so boring me and was just 'meh' (plus I had to run an errand), that I walked away from it after, yes, about the first 45 minutes, and haven't been back.

But, guess I will get back to it to see if it indeed gets better.

I generally like Keaton, RDJ, and Griffin Dunne, so was kind of disappointed by what I did see during the first part of it.

However...will give it another shot!
