The next Sherwood movie is to titled Courageous

Four men, one calling: To serve and protect. As law enforcement officers, they face danger every day. Yet when tragedy strikes close to home, these fathers are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, and their faith. From this struggle will come a decision that changes all of their lives.

The title is taken from Joshua 1.

The theme will be on fatherhood and their Biblical role of fathers in the family.

Please pray for the script, the casting, the filming, and the editing. Pray that all involved with the production keep their eyes and hearts on God.

I can't think of a more appropriate theme for a Christian movie in this day and time. TV and Hollywood stereotypes fathers too often as imbeciles, weak, lazy, self-centered, abusers, drunks, and men who abandon their family. God fearing fatherly role models apparently don't exist according to the writers and producers of most of our TV/movie entertainment. With a record number of kids growing up without a father in the home perhaps this theme will resonate well.
