I can't relax! Can anyone clear this up for me?

I've been interested in captions (subtitles or full film transcripts) and want to make sure I understand a certain line of this film verbatim. The quote in question is spoken by Candy (Abbie Cornish.) I have seen it subtitled as:

I gotta clench my hands! I can't relax.

However, I've always been almost certain she had said:

I can't unclench my hands! I can't relax.

The first one is what I am finding in transcripts online, and I haven't read the book so I don't know for sure what's in there, but I can't unclench seems like it makes more sense than the latter and that was what I always heard.

What do you guys think?

Definitely I gotta clench. She says that she's been doing it since she was six years old. Clenching her fists was a way of releasing tension/coping with her mother.
