What 'Balls of Fury is Missing...

Do youze all know what this film is missing?

A 'Black,' a 'Stiller,' one or more 'Wilsons,' an 'Apatow,' and/or a 'Vaughn.'

... And, in keeping with the current season, 'a Partridge in a pear treeeeeeeeee.....'

Not really. It's nice to see a comedy that one of those 6 idiots aren't in.

Don't say "IMO", we know it's your opinion; you're the one who posted it.

After viewing this movie I would say the main thing that was missing is originality. I don't remember a single joke/gag that a 4-yr-old wouldn't have seen coming.

Some people have weird fetishes. Which is fine. Then they take photos of them, which is not.

I thought this movie was good as it gets for this type of film. The actors you mentioned I don't think would have worked as well because they're just too big now. They would step on each other's foot trying to outdo one another.

This is a pure fun film. It didn't play on any corny sentimentality or life affirming messages.

I agree with afigureofnaught... don't know who Apatow is tho

This movie could use a lot of things. Mainly actually being funny. I'm glad Apatow didn't do anything with this...he makes GOOD comedies...his career would be on a downslide from henceforward if he made this movie. I like these sort of movies- Blades of Glory, Dodgeball, all the Apatow movies, etc. but this was total rubbish. I had to stop watching and go back to Die Hard.

Shoot 'Em Up 10/10
Die Hard 10/10
Balls of Fury 2/10

I think yet again this movie tried too much at once (aside from being targeted at a very shallow audience). Nowadays, all comedy movies have action/fighting/special-fx in them and cost at least a dozen million dollars. This is a disappointing trend, the sensual overflow a la MTV can be found anywhere.

Think how great this movie could've been if they had better camera work, long slowmotion scenes and a stronger theme. This wouldn't have been in conflict with the comedy aspect, but at least the viewer would've had a sense of timeline and structure and something for the eye to rest on.

I play tabletennis, this gets a 3/10, what a shame.

No, that would make the movie a total flop.

Oh... you must mean "a flop" like 'Wedding Crashers,' 'The 40 Year Old Virgin,' 'Anchorman,' 'Superbad,' Walk Hard,' and any one of the upcoming sure-to-be-flops like 'Drillbit Taylor,' or 'Pineapple Express'!

Right?

They were craptacular. Not spectacular.

I don't think the Wilson Bros. are as great as everyone seems. Poor Owen; he tried to off himself after watching "You, Me, and Dupree". Now he knows how we felt.

But, Balls of Fury was good on its own. Less isn't more in this factor. It worked out great!
