Did we see the same movie? With the exception of the pacing being a bit off, (just a wee bit longer in certain parts than needed), I found the film to be quite good. As a matter of fact,I found it to be better than most of the Hollywood produced movies I've seen in the past year. As far as the acting goes, I was happy with all the performances of the main "mad" characters in wonderland. Most all of them made some very brave choices and made them work. A particular favorite of mine was the woman that played the Martha Stewart(ish) role. There was a lot of good acting in the festival overall, though, much of the best of which was done in shorts and features by actors out of AL.

The special effects are also worth mentioning here. They complimented the story, added to the humor, etc. It was a funny satire worth checking out in my book.

a little harsh, don't you think? if this is one of the worst things you've ever seen, you missed out on all the "scream" movies. you might need to renew your blockbuster membership. might i recommend "not another teen movie"?

it seems to me that people are forgetting that this isn't "gone with the wind"...this is just a good, funny, smaller budget movie made in alabama. it's not life-altering and full of deep meaning or "hollywood", and it's not meant to be. it's made for enjoyment. i saw this film at workplay, and was glad to be able to sit down and actually laugh at a movie. i was impressed with the local talent, both cast and crew. it was well produced for both budget and production time. and apparently, so were the judges at sidewalk. they must have done SOMETHING right.

is it really necessary to rip apart a movie and call it "horrible"? it seems to be a little narrow minded. if you didn't like it, that's fine, but be able to make a more articulate arguement for your opinion. and remember, it is just your opinion. a lot of hard work went into making it, and i'm sure those envolved would prefer you not posting the chip on your shoulder on imdb.

all things considered, it was a good, quick-witted, un-"horrible" movie that was savvily adapted from a tragically long book.

i'd like to see what they have planned next. i think these guys can only get better.
