I agree with jkendaljr. Let's start a letter writing campaign. I was part of another one on another board and they sent over 300 letters showing their support for the show. NOW, let's do one pleading with them to bring the show back or at least take it to cable. It can't hurt right???
This exact same thing happened with Cagney and Lacy. It did terrible in the ratings and was cancelled hastily, but it surged during summer reruns, and a strong show of support from the fans got it back on the air. Go for it. The fans can make a difference.
Ok, Let's go for it again guys. If we flood them with letters maybe they will reconsider. I know it's a lot of work but isn't it worth it to try and get this back on tv? Here are the addresses again.
ABC 77 West Sixty-Sixth Street NY,NY - 10023
ABC INC 500 Buena Vista Street Burbank, California 91521-4551
Blind Justice Steven Bochco Productions 20th Century T.V 10201 West Pico Blvd. Bldg 1 Los Angles, CA 90035
Beg ABC to reconsider their decision, even though they won't -- I personally think the best tack to take is that based on the quality alone BJ merited a second season.
Beg Stephen Bochco to try to take this to a cable network. Again, this will probably happen when donkeys fly (!), but at least let him know how much we all cared. Writing the letters may not do anything more than make you feel a little bit better, but there's value in that, right?
And -- this is just my take, again -- try to keep the letters fairly short, meaningful, and of course well written! My gut says anything too long won't get read.
Ok, I just mailed out my three letters this moring. Let's see if we can keep a running tally of how many we get sent out. Just keep adding on to the number as you mail your letters. 1. letter to ABC 2. letter to ABC INC. 3. letter to Steven Bochco
You can count my three: ABC, ABC Inc., and Steven Bochco. Also, on the Save Blind Justice website there is an email address. I'm sending a note there too. I am just not ready to give up.
