It's official... as of this 10:30 this morning....it's done!!

According to the futon critic, as of like 10:30 this morning, when I read it....a list of "non-returning shows" has been published for each network.. and Blind Justice is on the not returning list. They've renewed a lot of crap shows... which is always the way.....

How about a massive letter-writing campaign to Stephen Bochco BEGGING him to take this baby to cable, where it belonged in the first place? (You could tell from the first thirty seconds of the pilot that this wasn't your standard network pap for the masses.)

Or am I in denial? Sob.

reply

Unbelievable..... I don't even know what to say. I really liked this show AND I thought it was highly intelligent. Shoot, guess I shoulda known THAT would have done it in for sure.

This blows so bad, I can't even stand it. Not only am I going to miss the show but this has been turning out to be one of the best boards and my favorite recently....what am I gonna do now??? *sigh*

Part of me is in denial too though.....still hoping that there's a chance it'll come back. Maybe like you said jkendaljr, it could go to cable, right?

reply

YES! Let's do it, at least we can feel like we're doing something. This show is too good to go down without a fight!

I just mailed a letter of sadness and support to Stephen Bochco (wanted it to be postmarked today) and yeah, pitifully, BEGGED him to take BJ to a cable network and not close the door on the best damned show in years. (But let's face it, this would have to happen damned soon before the cast and writers scatter to the four winds.)

Couldn't hoit, as they say in Noo Yawk.

I agree, let's do another massive letter writing campaign. I wrote a bunch of letters earlier that another board was doing. They wrote over 300 letters saying how much they liked the show. I guess now we have to do another one begging them to bring it back or at least take it to cable.
I loved this board and I still feel like there is so much more I want to learn about the show. The relationships etc., what's going to happen to everyone. I just don't think those questions are going to be answered before the 13th episode.

It's always a shame to see a good show get cancelled. Blind Justice is a good show. I've enjoyed it since it's premier, for it was something different. A cop show with heart, with characters you cared about. And since my 2nd favorite show of all time, Third Watch, got the axe this season, I was hoping that this show would stick around. Unfortently, the bastards at ABC are so busy with craptacular Desperate Housewives to see that an actually good show can make it, if you give it time.

It really bums me out that they stopped the PR push as soon as the show debuted. I saw billboards and ads everywhere in So Cal leading up to the premiere then it all just seemed to stop. I am really disappointed that ABC didn't support this show more. All I ever see are ads for Desperate Housewives and Lost. Those two shows have huge audiences! Why couldn't they make a push like that for a show worth watching!

We really need to beg Bochco to shop it around cable. This is three bad series experiences for Ron Eldard and I'll bet he won't go back to tv for a long time. He is too good an actor to put up with this crap! Ron if you're out there, you are an amazing actor, I have loved everyting I have ever seen you in!

It's already happening.

There's a press release on the futon critic from last week that says Nicholas Wootton has already signed up to be part of the Law & Order franchise next fall.

Scroll down to "Law & Order."

Im really surprised they would cancel this show so soon. It seemed to me that ABC wanted the blue audience to stick around for this. Im not a big know it all on the ratings, but my impression was it wasn't bombing out as much as ABC percieves it to be. The show had potential in it.

ABC sucks. I have absolutely NO faith in the network. =O( They never STOP disappointing me. There was a time when EVERYTHING I watched was on ABC. Now it's Blind Justice and LOST. They cancelled Blind Justice and LOST is getting on my nerves. So I suppose it's back to CBS for me.

ABC has finally pulled a FOX, unbelievable.

By the way I hate FOX!

I loved this show. I taped it every tuesday because law and order svu is on at the same time. I never missed an episode, and now they cancel it. They put on shows that we like and they take it off, and they expect us to accept that, and us fans don't even have a say in it. They should keep it on for the fans and who cares what non-fans think about the show because the fans don't care if someone hates it. If we agreed with all the people that said a show sucked then we wouldn't watch anything, then there wouldn't be no need to have a tv now would there.
