Here's An Idea

Since we all know that this show was doomed from the beginning, maybe Bochco needs to do somewhat of a spinoff of Blue. That I'm sure he can get away with, not a horrible rendition of Daredevil. Which, to me, that's what it looked like.
Then again I can't say too many negative things about BJ because of the fact that I never watched it. (Even though I predicted to my friends that the show didn't have much of a chance anyway).
Anyways, point being, Bochco should spinoff Blue. Keep almost all of the same characters; Sipowicz (obviously), Clark, Jones, Ortiz, and the 2 shmucks that were introduced on the finale, remember Medavoy retired so we wouldn't see him anyway. Just clean the slate with all of the characters' personal lives and just stay involved with the job/cop stuff.
