Did anyone catch last night's episode of
Blind Justice - Under the Gun?

What was the censored out word that that one guy
said to Jim and Karen when they went to find out
about Jim's lost gun?

The guy was bald headed and it was right after the
restaurant melee. The guy was describing the Easton
family and those people that live on the upper end of
town. But he said a word that was 'silenced' out.

Anyone know what it was?

Not sure if it was a regional thing but here in the
East coast it was cut out.

So sad to see a good decent and clean cop show get canned.

Instead ABC goes for all this reality garbage and I'll tell ya
one thing - I did not lose any sleep because Bo didn't win.
What a waste of air time.

I was wondering that too -- it was plainly, blatently bleeped. Canadian viewers, can you help us figure out what our puritanical censors cut to protect our virgin ears?

The irony of censoring "bitch" is that you can hear it on the radio and it wouldn't be the first time we heard it on TV. Damned censors.

No, no that can't be right.

We did hear the guy in the bar say to Christie, "What are you looking at B*tch?" That's what got Jim riled up, instigating the brawl.

The bleep was later (about 12 minutes into the show) when Jim & Karen were interviewing Vince in the tire factory and he was talking about the other family. The word(s) he used to describe them was bleeped.

How right you are....How did I miss that one?! I wonder if I can read lips well enough to figure it out... I'll rewatch it and see.

Sorry for the confusion. I thought that wasn't right when my 2nd poster
said it was the 'B' word. Cuz you're right. It was said to Christie.
The only thing I can think of is that the word was ethnic related.
Like the 'N' word; although I don't think that was it, or some other
slang word that would describe someone's nationality.

If you can watch it again and tell, I'd appreciate it.

No big deal though. I was just curious what was so sensitive in today's
TV language that it had to be 'cut' out. On TV they say a lot more and
get away with it. They never used to be able to say S.O.B on the tube.

And if it was bleeped or censored out, why bother putting it in the script?

why would they censor out bastards, it isn't a curse word...

it woulnd't make sense for them to allow b1tch, but not allow a word like Bastards...

most likely it was a racist term... you know the N word...

They've allowed bastard to be said on the air before.
I wonder also if it's a racist slur.
But, again, why bother putting it in the script?
Unless they thought it wasn't gonna be censored
and they would take their chances.

I think it was an ethnic slur because it came right after the guy (Postiglione) said their name, Eastman, he said you wont't find a bigger bunch of... and the word was bleeped ( even on my closed captian). It may have been a derogatory Italian slang word.

i was wondering what the word was, too. after janet jackson, the FCC started giving out big fines for stuff and alot of things that used to be allowed on TV, like partial nudity and certain strong language, the networks aren't willing to take a chance on. i think in one blind justice, they censored "scumbag" which they were able to use years back on nypd blue. it's ridiculous to have those sort of restrictions. that's why i love FX. they can get away with alot more.

I now have a copy of the Canadian version of this spisode. The bleeped words were:

"bigger scumbags"

Same bleep as before.
