Yes, and No. His dog was smart,but not exactly K-9 smart. Before the show was cancel there was an episode where his dog withness a murder/drug deal , and the crooks involve stole his dog. I only read the spoilers for that episode, and was really looking forward to seeing it, when the show was cancel.

The episode that you read the spoilers for was Doggone and it aired along with the other 12 episodes.
