Wild Parrots of California?

Great movie! This was a very interesting story, well told, good cinematography, too... Saw it on PBS-TV this week. Enjoyed it immensely.

I had often seen and heard that flock in and around the park near the foot of Washington Street, and in flight around zipcode 94111 a few years ago, when I worked nearby. Now, I am glad to know more about them.

There was a smaller wild flock of similar green parrots in zip 94022, about 35 mi south of San Francisco, back in the mid 1960's... About a dozen or more large green parrots of some kind were around that area for several years, back then, when I was in high school. Now, I wonder if there is any connection? They did sound very similar. They liked roosting in tall pine trees, probably feeding on pine cones.

Going to check out the website..
