what was the guitar player waving ceremoniusly around the german hall they practiced in? to me ,it looked like a big fat joint.. any comments?

I might be mistaken, but I thought it was a stick of sage.

The smoke of burning sage is believed by some practicioners of white magick to have the power to "purify" or cleanse an area of bad spirits.

Not every conical object that looks like one can smoke it is a joint?
It could be anything from frankincense to some herbs. Spiritually cleaning.
