My thoughts on the movie

My chief problem with the movie is the awkward dichotomy between the very interesting story of Evelyn Glennie and all she has accomplished and the desire of the director to make a very visual movie about sound. To me, it seemed like there are almost two films in one movie.

My very favorite scenes where of her visiting the family farm in Scotland where she was raised and the scenes with her brother who runs the farm. More scenes like this would have been welcome.

The most annoying part of the movie was the lack of subtitles. Apparently there is an explanation of why closed captioning was not provided. I have not read the explanation and it is ludicrous to release a movie such as this without SDH.
