More films on Rwandan Genocide

If you all liked this film, you should check out "Ghosts of Rwanda", "Sometimes in April", and "Hotel Rwanda". I Highly suggest all of these.

I saw "Sometimes in April". I´m always appaled by the way the rest of the world regards Africa. It´s as if they were in a lower cathegory of people. I heard many people say: "It´s a local problem, we have nothing to do with it". They forget Africa was colonized by Europe and the US always deal with the continent. So, it´s not only their fault, we all share responsability for what happens not only in Rwanda, but also Sierra Leone, Sudan, Zimbabwe and many other local conflicts.
I have a friend who fled from Angola. He said the civil war was so brutal that it literally destroied the nation. Buildings are few, starving unemployed people scavaging rests of food with the vultures can be found everywhere.

Ele fez da queda um passo de dança, do medo uma ponte, da procura um encontro.

If you can find, see -Kisangany diary- about consequences of Rwanda genocide on situation in Congo (and genocide there).
Beware: Kisangany diary is much more authentic and brutal than Shake with hand of the devil and Hotel Rwanda (I didn't see Sometimes in april, but I will see, thank you for recommendation). Still, by me, it is piece of art. It is documentary movie, but it is still one of more exciting movies I ever saw- unforortunatelly, that excitement is not good at all, it is result of knowing that terrible things in this film are truth.

Also, beware: you can see in that movie other, very ugly, side of UN peacekeepers (especially Dallaire, if I remember well).
