Randal needs a love interest in the next Clerks movie

I would love to see Randal have a woman to truly call his own. We never see Randal with a woman (although he claims to have sex with them many times, that or he's either in-the-closet gay or in-the-closet virgin). Dante had his own glory only with his new re-opened Quick Stop, now it's time for Randal to get his.

I see either Rashida Jones or Linda Cardellini playing Randal's love interest.

Terrible idea. It would ruin the character, and I doubt there'll even BE a "Clerks III" anyways.

For the record, one of the very first drafts of this film DID have Randal being the one flling for Becky... but i dont see him goign for the Becky character, it would have to be a very different person, IMO

Randal already has a love interest in both films.

He loves Dante. That's good enough.

Yeah, that wouldn't work. It would totally ruin Randal's image. He's supposed to be independent, with an apathetic attitude. I don't see him falling head over heels for some woman. If anything, they could hint that he's getting casual action so he seems like less of a loser. That said, I don't think a Clerks III would be a good idea.

Ya I agree but I do see a Clerks III working, it would be a great way of Kevin Smith reflecting on being middle aged, making it hilarious, but the randall love interest thing... no

It would be funny if Randal really was a virgin all along, and we find this out in Clerks III (should it ever get made).

There's no way he's a virgin. He's confident, way more confident than he deserves to be, considering he's never held anything but sh!t jobs. He tries to hook up with a few girls who are implied to be in high school just in this movie, and does it very casually, so it's probably something he does frequently. The law of averages pretty much says that it's bound to have worked at one point, not to mention high school girls can and do hook up with older guys, even losers, because they can get them booze, cigarettes, and probably have better drug connections than your average high school guy.
