Questions we've always wanted to know

Ok, I have a few questions about the main Disney charicters, (mickey and the gang) That I would some day like to be answered for me. (Maybe through another little movie like this one.)

oh, and if you have any Q's you've always wanted to know, you can post them here. :-)

my Q's:

1. Throughout all the Goofy and Max adventures (Goof Troop, A Goofy Movie, etc.) I have never seen either Max or Goofy mention Max's mother. You would think they would mention her a little, at least in passing. I would really like to know who she was, and if she died or something.

2. How exactly are Scrooge McDuck and Donald related? The triplets call them both "uncle" so they could be brothers, or possibly brothers-in-law. The connection could be H,D,and L's mom or dad.

3. What happened to H, D, and L's parents? Because in everything I've seen them in, they either live with Donald or Scrooge. I would like to learn about them as well.

4. In Duck Tales, H, D, and L had a cousin or sister. (it's been a while since I saw it, so I don't remember her relationship to them nor her name.) Well, I haven't seen her in any other disney cartoon or movie featuring the charicters. She's only in Duck Tales and The Duck Tales movie, what happened to her? I liked her.
(another Q for Duck Tales would be isn't Launchpad on both Duck Tales and Darkwing Duck? but I won't get into that.)

1)In the very early cartoons about Goofy and Max(when Max had red hair), there was a mother there, but you never saw her face. You just heard her voice and after awhile, they just wrote her out completely.

2)Scrooge is Donald's uncle so he would be Huey, Dewey and Louie great uncle. That's why they are both called 'uncle' by the kids.

3)Sorry, don't have an answer to this one.

4)Her name was "Webegail" or "Webby" for short and she wasn't their cousin or sister, she was Mrs. Beakley's(Scrooge's housekeeper) granddaughter. She just called Scrooge 'uncle' as a term of endearment. I really liked her character too and couldn't tell you why she was written out.

Hope this all helped.

Here are some answers to your questions:

2. : Scrooge McDuck has/had a sister, she had twins with the son of Grandma Duck.
The Twins were Donald and Della. Della Duck is the mother of Hewey, Dewey and Louie.
Therefore, Scrooge is Donald's uncle and HD&L's great uncle.

3. Not much is known about the whereabouts of their parents, and the fathers is
unknown as of now. A theory is that the father is also the brother of Daisy Duck.
HD&L came to live with Donald after their father was sent to hospital, and since then,
no word has come of their parents. Probably missing or deceased.

Hey nightraven,

I had a similar discussion on this topic during christmas with my sis, and what you posted is pretty much what I guessed from the old cartoons.

But where did this theory of H,D&L's father being in hospital come up?
could you give the info's source?

While on the topic, Mickey had three young nephews(one of them was called Ferdinand, I think...)who to my knowlege appeared only in the comic books.
I think they had a short shelf life though, because their billed cousins were better developed and more popular.

Donald also has two cousins :the perpetually lucky Gladstone Gander and perpetually hungry and silent cousin Gus.
Know anything about them and how they feature in the Duck's family?

Also, I'm curious about Goofy's family who I've always had a soft spot for over Mickey and Donald combined.

Actualy Mickey had 2 nephews, Morty and Ferdie, who appeared in some of the early shorts (while Walt was still alive), but haven't been around since.

WOW! I'm glad someone else remembers Mortie and Ferdie! I used to have a book when I was a little kid that featured them along with Scrooge, Mickey, Donald and the nephews called Mickey Mouse and the great Lot Plot, where Scroge wants to buy the land that the kids play baseball in. I havent read it in years but I always wondered what happened to Mickey's nephews.

Does anyone know where I could get the music from this movie?

Here's the real truth Disney does not want you to know about the sordid pasts of some of it's characters.

1. Throughout all the Goofy and Max adventures (Goof Troop, A Goofy Movie, etc.) I have never seen either Max or Goofy mention Max's mother. You would think they would mention her a little, at least in passing. I would really like to know who she was, and if she died or something.

Oh, she died alright, at Goofy's drunken hands. Goofy was intoxicated (as usual) one evening. He'd had a case of russian whisky given to him as a gift on a tour of Russia and had drunk himself into quite a stupor. His then wife sent him to bed after a particularly despicable episode in front of Max where Goofy lost control of his bowels. After Max had gone to bed, Goofy came back down stairs and sat opposite his lovely wife Sharon and said "We've come to a decision." Sharon replied sarcastically "Yeah what?" Goofy said, "Were awfully sorry but we've decided you'll have to die." He then strangled her to death. A few hours later after coming to on the floor, he found his wife's lifeless corpse next to him on the floor. Goofy dismembered her body and buried her in several places in the back yard. If not for Mickey's infernal mutt Pluto digging her head up he would have got away with it. Luckily for Goofy the law in his town badly bungled the investigation and he got off on a technicality.

2. How exactly are Scrooge McDuck and Donald related? The triplets call them both "uncle" so they could be brothers, or possibly brothers-in-law. The connection could be H,D,and L's mom or dad.

Uncle Scrooge is actually Donald's father. When Scrooge was in the service he impregnated an Irish mallard and fathered Donald. Scrooge had no idea he'd had a bastard son until his mother came calling for money after many long years of hard searching. Rumour has it that Scrooge had Donald's mother killed and sent Donald to an orphanage. When Donald came of age he petitioned the orphanage for his papers and located Scrooge and demanded he be taken care of in the lap of luxury for the remainder of his life. Now that Scrooge was a multimillionaire and not wanting a scandal he reluctlantly agreed and Donald lived with him for several years. Donald secretly became dependant on Herion and took up with a local crack whore named Daisy. Huey Dewey and Louie are his and Daisy's illigitimate children. Bastard son begat bastard sons. Donald, Daisy and Scrooge concocted a bold lie and passed the trio off as nephews of a relative never spoken of. As punishment to Donald for his transgressions, Scrooge banned him from living in the mansion and he currently lives in squalor, still trying to beat his addiction to H. The kids are shuffled between the two whenever they've had enough of thier shenanigans.

3. What happened to H, D, and L's parents? Because in everything I've seen them in, they either live with Donald or Scrooge. I would like to learn about them as well.

See above.

In actuality Webbigale or Webbi, was neither cousin nor sister, she was bought as a slave on the black market when she was just an egg. Scrooge later learned to love her and treated her as family. After Webbigale had developed into a lovely 19 year old, Scrooge had a huge scandal when he left his then wife Mia for Webbi. The 2 are still happily together, in spite of all the bad press he's received over the ordeal.

I hope this helps, I know it can be quite an eye opener when you learn the truth about much beloved childhood characters. Don't even get me started on Sesame Street!

I know Max starts as a 12 year old then next we see 16 then 18 Huey Dewy and Louie are perpetually (around) 10. Probably growth hormones I heard they use those on child stars all the time Max was given "older" Huey Dewy and L:ouie were given "stay tiny" ones.

reply

I think that H,D, and L were stuck in a time warp for twelve years. They should be in their twenties.
