So has anyone seen this yet?
Please comment. I want to know if I should look forward to this or not. What is it about? Is it subtitled?

shareWhoa, apparently I'm the first guy here.
I actually just heard of the buzz this was generating at Sundance and decided to investigate. Nothing yet here I see.
I saw it. Very sexual. Reminds me of a girl named Lila I know.
It happens sometimes. Friends come in and out of our lives like busboys in a restaurant.
she's my neighbor she is a bisexual prostitute
shareoh sure.
shareIts very honest. I havn't seen teenagers portrayed so realistically in a damn long while. I and probably everyone who went to high school or even early college knew a girl like Lila. (Think American Beauty but with people who actually look 19). It was well acted and just smartly played, I was very impressed. Its dark, be warned, but it is a good film.
shareI haven't seen it but I read the book years ago. Very good book which was supposedly based on a true story and the real writer, Chimo, an arab boy, couldn't reveal his tru identity because of what happens in it. The story is both beautiful and heartbreaking. If they stayed faithful to it, I can't see how it would make a bad film. In fact - when I read it, I think back in 1998 or so, I wanted to be the one to make the film.
shareI saw this movie a few weeks ago.I initially was a bit suspicious of the titillating teenager character, after having seen the trailer,as I am sick of seeing Lolitas paraded on the screen and portraying indiscriminate/non-intentional promiscuity as an empowering thing, or even worse: a hip thing to do! But my fears were put to rest.This is, ironically, a very romantic movie, and anyone wanting to see it for titillating reasons will be quite surprised but might not be disappointed, as the lovely Lila ,wonderfully played by Vahina Gioccante will give you a lot to think about.The 2 protagonists are very believable, very touching.The social context of the film seems realistic, as far as my knowledge of being a poor immigrant in Marseilles.
An A +++ movie.
Incredible movie! One of the best i've seen. Great cinematography...I loved it!
sharethis is a beautiful film, you won't be disappointed....go see it!!

I have the movie but I can't find the subtitle of it. So if someone has or knows were I can find the subtitle (dutch, English, german, french) please be so kind and tell me.
shareI've just come from the cinema. In the cinemas of my neighbourhood they are playing now original versions and I decided to go and see the film with a friend.
It's kinda shocking in the beginning, because you think the girl is mad and is playing with the boy. But the story develops and you feel that she is hiding from love with all her nasty words and all that she wants to say is that she loves the guy.
The end is a bit shocking and I didn't like some things that happen, but the characters are well developped: Chimo, Lila, Chimo's friends, Chimo's mother, etc. In the end you understand everything that has happened, but you still see the light.
I think is a really good film.
